Version 1.8 of Kirq and acq released

We've released version 1.8 of Kirq and acq. The standalone version of Kirq (KirqST) is also available. The standalone version bundles Kirq together with all of its dependencies, so all you need to download and extract the zipfile and double-click the executable.

KirqST is currently available for Windows and Linux. We're still working on the OS X version, but hope to have that available soon.

Downloads are at http://grundrisse.org/qca/download/.

We now have a proper newsfeed

The old RSS feed will be going away shortly, so update your RSS readers to point at this page. I've imported the old RSS feed, below, to maintain its history.

acq 1.5 released

acq v1.5 has been released. It includes a number of bugfixes (some important and some trivial) and we've polished the interfaces of gtt and concov. Man pages have also been improved and are browsable at http://grundrisse.org/qca/docs/. Both gtt and concov have been subjected to extensive testing over the past few months but, as always, if you find any bugs or run into any problems, please report them to the mailing list or email Claude at <cjr@grundrisse.org>. Download it from http://grundrisse.org/qca/download/src/previous/acq-1.5.tar.gz

acq 1.4 released

I've rolled up acq v1.4, which includes improved documentation and a number of additional scripts. bq is a generic Boolean algebra calculator that allows you to apply one or more Boolean algebra equations to every observation in the dataset. gtt is a graphical truth table viewer and editor. concov is a graphical viewer for consistency/coverage tables. The idea behind gtt and concov is that you can use them to view, sort, and otherwise manipulate the sometimes voluminous output of nec and suf. acq 1.4 should be treated as an alpha release--while nec, suf, bq, and consist should be very stable, gtt and concov haven't undergone as extensive testing. If you run into bugs, please report them to the mailing list or email Claude at <cjr@grundrisse.org>. Download it from http://grundrisse.org/qca/download/src/previous/acq-1.4.tar.gz.
