TFUG Happy Hours are held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursdays of the month, start at 6pm and end whenever (usually between 9 and 10pm but 11pm isn't uncommon and we've been known to end up chatting in the parking lot until the wee hours of the morning).
Our meetings are informal get togethers. No presentations, agendas, or topics off limits. Drop by and chat with fellow Unix geeks. Eat, drink, and be merry! Everyone's invited: students and non-students; hackers and non-hackers; newbies, oldbies, and wannabies. All ages. No fees or expenses.
Bob Dobb's Bar and Grill is located at 2501 E. 6th St, at Tucson Blvd, next to Rincon Market (see map).
TFUG merchandise is available at http://www.cafepress.com/tucsonfreeunix. The mugs are great. I haven't seen the stein yet. Don't buy the t-shirts, though, they're awful. Instead, contact Glen to purchase a t-shirt. Those with a vinyl logo cost $12.50; those with a felt logo, $17.50.
The purpose of the Tucson Free Unix Group is to provide mutual support in installing and running free Unix operating systems, such as Linux and FreeBSD. The group encourages the development of local expertise in using these wonderful operating systems and the software available to them. In addition to a listserv, wherein members can communicate, the group encourages the development of friendships, social gatherings, and otherwise hobnobbing with our fellow free Unix users.
